Join local artist Larry Iwerks
throughout the afternoon at our Wild! Art Exhibit and Sale
showcasing our region's beautiful backcountry wilderness.
Larry Iwerks, in the making of
landscape paintings, feels strongly about the importance of
preserving public lands across the West, from the red rock
deserts of southern Utah to the coastal wilderness of the Los
Padres National Forest.
Larry has served as Vice
President for the Friends of Channel Islands National Park, and
is a member of various art and land preservation groups,
including Los Padres ForestWatch, Santa Barbara Art Association,
S.C.A.P.E. (Southern California Artists Painting for the
Environment), The Oak Group, Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance,
and Journal of Studies Honoring Undeveloped Areas. Iwerks
currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Desert Protective
Council, and continues to paint and advocate for the permanent
protection of national parks and public lands as wilderness.
Half of all proceeds of art
sales benefit ForestWatch. Featured works include:
